Lester River Rendezvous
Lester River Rendezvous is a festival that takes place right in the heart of Lester Park. The autumn background enhances the natural beauty of the area and creates a lovely setting for this fall festival. Vendor booths, food, fun and a rewarding school program that offers a vivid account of the
life in the fur trades during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Highlights from Last Week’s Meeting
By Traci Marciniak
Instead of meeting for the Club’s typical Thursday lunch, Rotarians were treated to a delightful evening featuring great weather, fine food and drinks, and Rotarian Betty George Sola’s stunning gardens. Nearly 40 Rotarians came out to Betty’s home on the Bay side of Park Point to experience the Rotary Club 25 Garden Party—an annual event graciously hosted by Betty.

Attendees enjoyed garden tours, great conversation, and the occasional lake breeze to offset the heat of the sunshine. Really perfect weather for an outdoor get-together. Everyone there had a great time—even while battling personal feelings of extreme garden envy.

Betty, thank you for opening your home and gardens to fellow Rotarians so they can enjoy the beauty you have created.
