Artistic Director of the Lake Superior Youth Chorus
30 Years of Transforming Young Lives Through Music
For 30 years, the
Lake Superior Youth Chorus has provided singers with professional vocal training and activities and opportunities to use their voices for the betterment of their community. This emphasis is born out of a keen awareness that today’s youth will become our performing artists, audience members, business leaders/members, community members, and volunteers of the future.
Chair of the day – Geiger Yount
Highlights from Last Week’s Meeting
By Al Makynen
The place was packed with Rotarians ready for “Summertime Fun” (a.k.a Dinner and Auction).
Beyond the fellowship, tens of thousands of dollars were raised to support our annual grants along with the Youth Mental Health Initiative at the Boys and Girls Club (C.H.I.L.D) and Rotary International Polio Plus.
The core Dinner and Auction Committee of 20 was assisted by even more energetic Rotarians during the event. The pictures below tell the story better than any written representation. If you were unable to attend, you missed out!
The whole room sang happy birthday to Jim Landwehr
