Introduction to the Veteran’s Resilience Project and their Northern MN Expansion

The Veterans Resilience Project or VRP is a MN Nonprofit that helps military members, Veterans and/or Spouses get access to free mental health therapy specifically a form called EMDR which is highly effective for treating trauma and/or PTS(D). EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an extensively researched, highly effective, and noninvasive type of therapy that helps clients recover from symptoms of trauma and PTSD. It is supported by the US Veteran Administration, the World Health Organization, the American Psychiatric Association – and most recognized mental health organizations. We care deeply about our mission of
"We inspire lifelong change for Minnesota Veterans, Service Members and Spouse experiencing Trauma and PTS(D), by creating access to effective therapy as a pathway to heal. "
VRP was established in 2015 but recently in 2023 received grant funding to expand their efforts into Northern MN to help Veterans get the help they deserve to live fuller, more meaningful lives.
