Dave McLean,
Member of Rotary Since 2000

I was born in Duluth. I graduated from East High School and graduated from St. Cloud State University. My wife and I have lived in Duluth as a family since 1999, relocating from Eden Prairie. My wife and I enjoy traveling to Oregon to visit our oldest son as well as fishing, hiking, and traveling to a new country every 3-4 years. Jackie works at Lotus on the Lake. She was born and raised in Brainerd. We met in 1985 in St. Cloud. We have two sons, Will who is a high school choir director in Salem, OR and Al who is a financial analyst for a commercial real estate lending firm in downtown Minneapolis. A fun fact: my father was a Rotarian and had perfect attendance, I believe, for 33 years. Both my father and grandfather were born, raised, and spent their entire lives residing in Hunter’s Park. I am a direct descendant of J.L. Washburn who was an attorney and banker in Duluth at the turn of the (last) century. Being a member of Rotary Club 25 is a privilege.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to participate. During my year as President, I was exposed to Rotary leadership from across our country at the Large Club Conference and Rotary leadership from across the world when I attended the International Convention. I have never been surrounded by such a great group of people who I felt their entire mission is to make the world a better place to live. We have a great club with a great group of Rotarians who serve that same purpose.
