Habitat Build Update for August

1. Groundbreaking was on August 16th work began immediately following the ceremony.

2. Wells Fargo volunteers (110 volunteers) dug and set forms, helped with general site prep at the 2412 W. First Street site where our Club will be volunteering. Anticipated dates for our Club’s work there are yet to be determined, likely late September.

3. Plumbing below ground is almost finished. Poly and foam insulation was installed at the  2412 W. First Street site.

4. Wells Fargo volunteers also worked on 3 “Age in Place” repair projects, helped out at the 1903 Banks Avenue house in Superior currently underway and wrapped up loose ends in 2 other houses.

5. UWS women’s soccer team volunteers worked at both build sites and the two repair sites. They continued with site prep in Duluth getting ready for the slab pour.
