Writing a Novel, a Personal Journey

Natalie has spent most of her life skipping down her yellow brick road. Suddenly, when life seemed great, a paver popped up and it was called breast cancer. Sure 1 in 8 women get breast cancer, but Natalie never thought she would be in this group.

Now, she was the 1 in 8 and had invasive ductal carcinoma, stage 1, out of a 0-4 score.  Breast cancer didn’t almost kill me, sepsis did. After eight hospitalizations and numerous surgeries she began journaling. This led to what is now a book. Natalie was fortunate to have past Rotarian Dawn Cutler’s daughter as her publisher.
