North Shore Scenic Railroad
Ken Buehler is not a meteorologist, but he played one on TV for over thirty years. He and his partner also owned a chain of 13 radio stations in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Now out of broadcasting, Ken runs the Lake Superior Railroad Museum and North Shore Scenic Railroad in Duluth. The Museum was voted by USA Today as the “BEST Transportation Museum in America.” The 38-mile tourist railroad between Duluth and Two Harbors is one of the regions most loved attractions SAFELY carrying over a 100,000 guest/passengers a year.
Ken has worked with others for 23 years on the Northern Lights Express Project to return passenger rail service between Duluth and Minneapolis.
Ken was born in a small town in Wisconsin that will always be a small town in Wisconsin because his dad says “every time a baby is born some guy leaves town.”
