Adaptive Recreation - Northland

Participation in the many forms of outdoor recreation available throughout the Northland is not something our all of our family, friends and neighbors living with disability are able to enjoy.  For 43 years members of our local communities has made an effort to incorporate adaptive recreation programing from adaptive skiing at Spirit Mountain, to kayaking and sailing on the waters of the Duluth Harbor, to cycling local pedestrian trails.  While we’ve come a long way we can and should do more to ensure all who are interested have the ability to participate in active pursuits.  Let’s discuss how members of our communities participate, volunteer and donate to improve the quality of life for those families who experience disability.
